Bethelhem Legesse has held various roles in the software engineering and professional services industries. In 2021, Bethelhem began working as a Software Engineer at InfluxData, and prior to that, held the role of Software Engineer Intern. From 2019 to 2021, Bethelhem was a Project Development Coordinator at Poole Auditing Consultants, where they were responsible for working with project teams and clients to develop timelines, create schedules, and oversee progress to ensure goals were met on time, as well as preparing financial reports and assisting with audits. From 2017 to 2019, Bethelhem was a Client Account Advisor at Berry Appleman & Leiden LLP, where they created reports for attorneys, developed a case file indexing system, and operated as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to their team's accounts.

Bethelhem Legesse completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Biology from Texas Tech University in 2017. Bethelhem then completed the CS50 Computer Science Program from Harvard Extension School. In 2020, Bethelhem Legesse obtained a Certificate in Full Stack Web Development from The University of Texas at Austin. In 2021, Bethelhem Legesse obtained two additional certifications from LinkedIn: AWS Essential Training for Developers and Agile Development Practices.
