Max Perez

Vice President, Strategic Initiatives at Infleqtion

Max Perez has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Max started their career as a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Irvine, where they focused on research and development of Optical MEMS Devices and Systems. Max then worked at VIP Sensors as a Research and Development specialist. Max furthered their career at NIST, where they served as a Post Doctoral Associate.

In 2012, Max joined Infleqtion and held various positions within the company. Max initially started as a Project Manager before transitioning to the role of Senior Engineer. In this role, Max directed externally funded projects for government agencies and developed chip scale microShutter technology.

Max then progressed to Director of Strategic Partnerships, where they played a crucial role in developing relationships with key partners. Max later became the Director of Government Research, overseeing research initiatives for government clients.

Max's expertise and leadership led him to become the General Manager of Quantum Research as a Service. Following this, they were promoted to Vice President of Research and Security Solutions, responsible for leading research efforts and developing security solutions. Currently, Max holds the position of Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at Infleqtion, where they manage strategic initiatives for the company.

Overall, Max Perez has a wealth of experience in research, project management, and leadership, with a focus on quantum research, government research, and strategic partnerships.

Max Perez completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering / Material Science and Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, from 1997 to 2002. Afterward, they pursued a Ph.D. in MEMS at UC Irvine, which they completed between 2002 and 2008. Currently, Max Perez is enrolled in a program at the University of Colorado Boulder, where they are expected to earn an Executive MBA degree in Business between 2021 and 2023.
