Cheryl Marvel has extensive work experience in human resources and administration. Cheryl began their career at Chemung Canal Trust Company as a Trust Tax Administrator, responsible for filing payroll forms and tax returns. Cheryl then joined Sikorsky Aircraft as an HR Recruiter/Analyst, where they successfully recruited and retained various positions, implemented a pre-employment program, and managed HR metrics. Cheryl later worked at Arnot Health as an Employment Coordinator/Analyst, handling recruitment, new hire orientation, HRIS system implementation, and employee relations. Currently, Cheryl is the Vice President of People and Culture at INFICON, leading the HR department and managing HR metrics, employee relations, and counseling on employee-related matters.
Cheryl Marvel obtained their Master's Degree (M.P.S.) in Human Resource and Employment Relations from Penn State University, where they attended from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Economics from State University of New York Cortland, attending from 2003 to 2005. In addition to their degrees, Cheryl has also obtained certifications including the Senior Professional in Human Resources - International™ (SPHRi™) from HRCI in February 2022 and the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification from ASQ in March 2019.
