A. Troy Thomas

A. Troy Thomas is a cinematographer, producer, director and owner of Inertia Films. He is native of Suffolk, Virginia and a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University. In 1993 he founded Inertia Films on a dining room table in Cincinnati, Ohio. Following his desire to work in a large television market in the Deep South, Troy relocated Inertia Films to Atlanta, Georgia in 1996. Since then Troy has won over 150 awards in various video competitions. His credits now include over 200 television programs including: Good Morning Football, Gangland, PBS NewsHour, OJ25, Talking Dead and Inside The PGA Tour.

Growing up a Baltimore Colts fan, Troy has always loved professional and college sports. For him to work today as a cameraman covering major sporting events is a dream come true. His list of venues now includes: (4) Super Bowls, NFC Championship, World Series, NLCS, NLDS, U.S. Open Championship, TOUR Championship, NBA Playoffs, SEC Championship, Iron Bowl, and the Peach Bowl, among others. In addition, Troy has worked since 2004 helping the NFL cover the Atlanta Falcons.

Troy also directed, produced and wrote the critically acclaimed, PBS historical documentary, Liberty & Slavery: The Paradox of America’s Founding Fathers.
