Benoit Mathieu has over 14 years of professional work experience. In 2006, they co-founded Playlive as an engineer. In 2007, they worked as an R&D Engineer at Audionamix, where they worked on audio demixing software and a back-end engine. From 2008 to 2011, they worked at ENST as a Research Engineer, where they worked on Yaafe, an opensource python/C++ toolbox dedicated to audio feature extraction. In 2011, they worked as a Software Engineer at Yakaz. From 2012 to 2017, they worked at Deezer, where they held the titles of Head of Engineering - Data Science, Lead Data Architect, and Data Engineer. In 2017, they worked as a Software Engineer at Bayes Impact and as CTO at Holimetrix (by D-Bi), where they managed a technical team of 10 people. From 2018 to 2019, they worked at Zenika as a Bigdata & Data Science Consultant. Benoit currently works at Indy as a Lead Data Engineer.

Benoit Mathieu has a diverse educational background. Benoit obtained a DEA MIASH degree in applied maths and computer science from Telecom Bretagne in 2002. Benoit also obtained a Master of Engineering - MEng degree in Telecommunication and Computer Science from Telecom Bretagne in 2002, as well as a Master of Engineering - MEng degree in Computer and Information Sciences, General from IMT Atlantique in 2002. In addition, Benoit Mathieu has obtained several certifications from Coursera and Google, including Building Resilient Streaming Systems on Google Cloud Platform, Leveraging Unstructured Data with Cloud Dataproc on Google Cloud Platform, Serverless Data Analysis with Google BigQuery and Cloud Dataflow, Serverless Machine Learning with Tensorflow on Google Cloud Platform, Spécialisation Data Engineering on Google Cloud Platform, Google Cloud Platform Big Data and Machine Learning Fundamentals, and Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer.
