Shani Lu's work experience begins in 2016 as an intern at Inductosense. They then move on to the University of Bristol in 2017, where they work as a Research Associate until 2018. Returning to Inductosense in 2018, Shani takes on the role of Electronics Engineer specializing in Wireless Technologies and IoT. In 2022, Shani is promoted to IoT Manager at Inductosense.

Shani Lu began their education by earning a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Information Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2008. Shani then pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of Birmingham from 2008 to 2010. Following this, they obtained a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Birmingham in 2011. Shani continued their academic journey and successfully completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Bristol in 2016.
