Svetlana Potyagaylo has a wealth of experience in the field of robotics and algorithms. Svetlana began their career in 2009 as a Teaching Assistant at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. In 2013, they became a Researcher at the same institution, conducting research on establishing a framework of the Autonomous Indoor Targeted Navigation System (AITFS). In 2014, they moved to Cyprus University of Technology as a Post-doctoral Research Associate. In 2015, they returned to Technion - Israel Institute of Technology as a Research Scientist, leading the research on a problem of slung load transportation by a team (flock) of multiple quadrotors in cluttered environments. In 2018, they joined Indoor Robotics as a Senior Algorithm Engineer and SLAM and Robotics Algorithms Engineer, where they developed algorithms for autonomous navigation of drones in indoor environments including SLAM, pose estimation, mapping and planning algorithms based on different vision, inertial and distance sensors.
Svetlana Potyagaylo obtained their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology between 2007 and 2013. Svetlana then obtained their Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University) between 1995 and 2001. In April 2018, they obtained a Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera.
