Kim McMurray has a diverse work experience spanning multiple organizations and roles. In 2010, they started working at Environment New Mexico as a State Associate. From 2010 to 2013, they worked at Working America in various roles, including Community Organizer, Pennsylvania State Director, and Regional Mobilization Director. During this time, they coordinated field campaigns, organized member actions, and worked with labor allies and progressive communities. From 2013 to 2015, they served as the Southern Regional Director at Working America, supervising State Directors in Texas, Georgia, and North Carolina. In 2015, Kim joined Bernie 2016 as the New Hampshire Deputy Field Director, where they collaborated with the Field Director and supervised Regional Field Directors. Kim also served as the National Training Director, creating training plans and curriculums for national and in-state field staff. In 2016, they became Deputy Political Director at Working America until 2018. Currently, Kim is the National Organizing Director at Indivisible Project since September 2021.
Kim McMurray earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Villanova University, attending from 2004 to 2008. Following this, Kim pursued further education and obtained a Master of Arts degree in Political Science from Villanova University, completing their studies from 2007 to 2009.
