Christian Louis Umbria Smith is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in grassroots organizing, advocacy, and program management. Currently serving as the Network Program Manager at Indivisible Project since June 2020, Christian oversees the Grassroots Organizing Wins (GROW) Grants program, which provides financial support to enhance organizing capacities within grassroots groups. Previously, Christian held roles such as Senior Distributed Organizer at Indivisible, Union Sub-Unit Lead at the Nonprofit Professional Employees Union, and Organizing Associate focused on immigration advocacy at Generation Progress. Additional experience includes positions with the League of United Latin American Citizens, a deputy campaign finance directorship for a congressional campaign, and legislative assistance in the Texas Senate. Christian holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government, as well as Sociology from The University of Texas at Austin.
