Bernardo Islas has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Bernardo began their career as an Assistant in Advertising at Reader's Digest in 2004. Bernardo then moved on to work as a Coordinator for Editorial Marketing and Subscriptions at Condé Nast, where they focused on brand positioning and strategies to increase sales. Bernardo later joined LAPTV as a Trade Marketing Coordinator before transitioning to Grupo Expansión. At Grupo Expansión, they served as Product Manager for various women's magazines and successfully implemented SEM strategies to drive sales. Bernardo also played a key role in creating the group's first e-commerce platform and forming strategic alliances to expand business opportunities.

After Grupo Expansión, Bernardo worked at El Financiero as a Manager for Subscriptions, Circulation, and Trade Marketing, where they focused on increasing subscription sales and expanding distribution. Bernardo then joined Mileno Diario as an Audience Manager for Digital and Print, where they continued to drive sales through strategic partnerships, SEM, SEO, and multi-platform campaigns.

From 2016 to 2018, Bernardo held roles at Te Queremos Escuchar, where they served as Director of Commercial and Digital Marketing, as well as General Director. In these positions, they were responsible for the profitability of the business, channel expansion, strategic alliances, and creating a business model.

Most recently, Bernardo joined Savorly as the Country Managing Director from 2018 to 2021. In this role, they focused on go-to-market strategies, growth strategies, expansion, business structure, and effective project management.
