Kathy Copeland currently serves as the Legislative Affairs and Communications Manager for the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners since August 2022. With extensive experience in public and governmental relations, Kathy Copeland has been the Director at White Rock Quarries since 2007, where the team successfully gained local and state approvals for a significant mining project. Prior roles include Public Policy Manager for the Alzheimer's Association - Alabama Chapter and Associate Director of Natural Resources for the Council on Environmental Quality, where Kathy Copeland coordinated with the Army Corps of Engineers on critical water resources policies. Additionally, Kathy Copeland spent two decades at the South Florida Water Management District, holding leadership roles that encompassed strategic legislative initiatives and managing a sizeable team and budget. Education was completed at the University of Alabama.
