Dr. Rajiv Nandan Rai is an Associate Professor and faculty member at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur since May 2017, specializing in Quality and Reliability Engineering. With a strong academic background that includes a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Reliability, Maintenance, and Industrial Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, Dr. Rai has guided five research scholars in the reliability analysis of aerospace and mechanical engineering systems. Prior to this role, Dr. Rai served as a Professor and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Manav Rachna University, overseeing various mechanical, aerospace, and automobile research initiatives. Dr. Rai's extensive experience in the Indian Air Force includes key positions such as Senior Engineer, Commanding Officer, Chief Project Engineer, and Chief Engineer, contributing to aircraft maintenance, reliability studies, and training programs for engineers and technicians.
