Saba Aflaki started their work experience as a Robotics Research Assistant at the University of Waterloo in April 2016. Saba then joined Engineering Services Inc. in September 2016 as a Software Developer, where they worked until March 2018. In May 2018, Saba joined Index Exchange as a Software Engineer II and later transitioned to the role of Senior Software Engineer in March 2020. Saba has been with Index Exchange since then.

Saba Aflaki obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Hardware Engineering from Sharif University of Technology between 2007 and 2012. Saba'shigh school education was at the National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents (Sampad) from 2003 to 2007, where they focused on Physics and Mathematics. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including "Data Engineering and Machine Learning using Spark" from Coursera in August 2023, "ETL and Data Pipelines with Shell, Airflow and Kafka" from Coursera in February 2023, "Relational Database Administration (DBA)" from Coursera in February 2023, "Databases and SQL for Data Science with Python (with Honors)" from Coursera in December 2022, "Python Project for Data Engineering" from Coursera in November 2022, "Python for Data Science, AI & Development" from Coursera in November 2022, "Intro to Self-Driving Cars Nanodegree Program" from Udacity in September 2020, and "Training on Xilinx Embedded System Design Flow" in July 2013.
