Greg Deavens currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Independence Blue Cross, a position held since January 2021. Previously, Greg was a Board Member of Hartford HealthCare from December 2013 to June 2024, where responsibilities included chairing multiple committees and serving on the Finance Committee. Prior to this role, Greg was the Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer at Independence Health Group from January 2017 to December 2020. Greg's extensive experience includes leadership positions at MassMutual Financial Group and CIGNA, as well as involvement with various boards, such as The Executive Leadership Council and The Amistad Center for Art & Culture. Greg holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.
