David Thompson

Senior Cloud Architect - Azure at Inclusion Score

David Thompson has extensive work experience in the technology industry. David began their career in 2002 as a UNIX Administrator and SQL/Oracle DBA at Unilever. From 2005 to 2012, they worked as an Infrastructure Architect at the same company before being promoted to Lead Infrastructure Architect, BI Hosting in 2012. In this role, they were responsible for the delivery and design support of Unilever's centralized on-premise BI solution. David managed a team of architects, developed key designs, and acted as the first point of contact for design issues. In this client-facing role, they are responsible for migrating on-prem estates to Azure public cloud, creating landing zones, and operating models for new Azure deployments. David applies Microsoft and DevOps best practices in their work.

David Thompson has a strong educational background in physics. David obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Physics from The University of Manchester. David went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Nuclear Structure Physics from Manchester University.

In addition to their academic qualifications, David has acquired several certifications in different fields.
