Femke van der Gaag, MBA

Managing Director - Benelux at Incision

Femke van der Gaag began their work experience in 2005 as a nurse at Medisch Centrum Haaglanden, where they worked until 2009. During this time, they had roles as a Nurse in Oncology and a Nurse.

In 2009, Femke joined Haaglanden Medisch Centrum (HMC) as a Senior Healthcare Manager. Femke managed a team of nurses, secretaries, and trainee nurses, overseeing the primary processes on the ward of pulmonary medicine and neurology. In this role, they were responsible for staff, budgets, quality, and policy implementation.

Femke joined Incision in 2017, initially serving as the Strategic Partnerships - Business Development Manager. In this role, they focused on collaborations with external parties and developing portfolios for scrub nurses and nurse anesthetists within the Incision Academy. Femke also led a project aimed at improving the quality of care and communication in the OR through the implementation of structured protocols.

Later, Femke became the Country Lead for Benelux at Incision, before taking on their current role as the Managing Director for Benelux.

Femke van der Gaag, MBA has a diverse educational background. In 1996 to 2001, they attended the Vrijzinnig Christelijk Lyceum for their secondary education. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Health Care at De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences from 2001 to 2005. Femke then continued their studies at Integraal Kankercentrum West from 2006 to 2007, specializing in oncology. Femke further enhanced their management skills at Transfergroep Rotterdam, completing a Management Development 2 program in 2009 to 2010, and a Potential Coordinator program in 2008 to 2009. Finally, in 2015 to 2017, they obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences. In 2021, Femke attended Xpertise, where they received certification as a 5 Moments of Need Program designer.
