Warren Anderson

Scientist III at Inceptor Bio

Warren Anderson has a diverse work experience in the scientific and research field. Warren is currently working as a Scientist III at Inceptor Bio since 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Seattle Children's from 2019 to 2021 as a Postdoctoral Researcher, where they focused on investigating gene editing for genetic traits related to autoimmunity in human CD4 T cells. In this role, they developed protocols for generating and assessing gene-edited human T cells and trained research scientists in cell isolation, phenotyping, and gene editing.

Before joining Seattle Children's, Warren was a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Washington from 2014 to 2019. During this time, they were part of the Molecular Medicine and Mechanisms of Disease program and specialized in Homology Directed Repair (HDR) based gene editing in primary human T cells. Warren developed various methods for gene editing, including using small single-stranded DNA templates and delivering polyfunctional DNA repair templates through Adeno-Associated Virus transduction.

Prior to their graduate studies, Warren worked as a Research Technician II at the Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason from 2012 to 2014. Here, they performed complex in vitro assays, ran large multi-color flow cytometry panels, and contributed to projects related to Treg suppression assays and cytokine capture analysis.

Additionally, Warren has a unique background as an athlete, having been a member of the US Olympic/National Rowing Team from 2006 to 2012. Warren represented Team USA in international races and was a bronze medalist in the 2007 Pan-American Games. Their experience as an athlete has equipped him with exceptional resilience and teamwork skills that are valuable in collaborative environments.

Warren Anderson obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology, with a major in Biology, General, from Loyola Marymount University. Warren attended this institution from 2002 to 2006. Following that, Warren pursued higher education at the University of Washington, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Pathology. This academic journey at the University of Washington lasted from 2014 to 2019.
