Ken-ichi Ueda is a software engineer and co-founder of iNaturalist, contributing to mobile app development using React Native and full-stack web development since 2007. Ueda conceptualized iNaturalist, a platform for documenting and sharing natural observations, while studying at UC Berkeley. Experience includes serving as co-director of iNaturalist at the California Academy of Sciences from 2014 to 2023 and holding positions at the University of California, Berkeley, where responsibilities included web development, bioinformatics, and GIS data management. Previous roles also comprise web development at Goodreads.com and a UI design internship at Google, complemented by a Master's degree in Information Systems from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Williams College.
