Hannes Claeys is a Senior Scientist at Inari since March 2019, with prior experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory from April 2014 to February 2019, where research focused on genetic mechanisms in maize under drought conditions. Hannes completed a PhD in Plant Biotechnology at Ghent University from 2009 to 2014, studying the impact of abiotic stress on Arabidopsis thaliana, following a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Biotechnology (2007-2009) and a Bachelor's degree in the same field (2004-2007) from Ghent University, along with foundational education at Sint-Aloysiuscollege Diksmuide (1998-2004).
