Thomas Schiffer

Technical Head: Safety And Security at in-tech

Thomas Schiffer has had a diverse work experience, starting in 1990 with internships at ANDRITZ HYDRO and continuing with internships at Liebherr Group from 2003 to 2005. Thomas then worked as a Design Engineer at Magna Powertrain - Engineering Center Steyr GmbH & Co KG from 2008 to 2010. From 2011 to 2013, they held roles in RAM-Safety Management and System Assurance Management at Siemens AG ?sterreich (SAG?). In 2014, they worked as a System Engineer at Berner & Mattner Systemtechnik GmbH. Thomas joined in-tech GmbH in 2015 as a Systems Engineer and later took on roles as the Head of CoC RAM & Functional Safety in 2017 and the Head of Safety and Head of Product Quality in 2019.

Thomas Schiffer has an extensive education history. Thomas obtained a Master's Degree in Project Management and Organisation from FH des BFI Wien, where they studied from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, Thomas earned another Master's degree in Production Science and Management from Technische Universit?t Graz. Thomas attended this institution from 1997 to 2007. Additionally, they hold an Engineer degree in Mechanical Engineering from HTL (BULME) Graz G?sting, which they completed from 1991 to 1996.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Thomas Schiffer has also obtained several certifications. These include "Funktionale Sicherheit im Schienenverkehr" from Interfleet, "INTACS Provisional Assessor for ASPICE" from INTACS, "Principles for Safety/Security of electronical systems" from PROMETO, "Product safety and Product liability" from Quality.at, "Safety Professional" from T?V S?D, and "Value Management I" from VDI Verein Deutscher Ingenieure e.V.
