Puneet Sharma has a diverse work experience in software engineering and research roles. Puneet is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at IMTF - Excellence in RegTech Solutions since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked at NVISO as a Senior Software Engineer in R&D from July 2018 to November 2022. Puneet also held the role of Software Engineer Research Development from January 2016 to June 2018, and completed a Software Engineer Internship from September 2014 to December 2015 at NVISO.

Puneet Sharma has also worked as a Research Scholar at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) from September 2013 to August 2014, where they primarily focused on a European commission project named "Wattalyst" related to power consumption behaviors prediction. Puneet designed, built, and optimized prediction tools for different household types and scenarios.

Earlier in their career, Puneet worked at ZS Associates as a Business Technology Associate from September 2012 to August 2013. Puneet was responsible for designing and implementing Master Data Management solutions for multiple projects and optimizing ETL data flows. Puneet also worked as a Software Engineer Internship at nViso from April 2012 to August 2012, where they designed and implemented a framework for distributed machine learning tasks using Amazon EC2 and automated data cube generation using SSAS. Additionally, Puneet had software engineer internship experiences at VizExperts, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, and IIT Bombay.

Puneet Sharma completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Information Technology from the Indian Institute Of Information Technology Allahabad from 2008 to 2012. Puneet also holds a Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org, which they obtained in February 2023.
