James Frostick has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. James began their career in the United States Marine Corps as a Sgt - Operations and Training NCO for 6th MTBN from 1992 to 2000. James then worked as an Ocean Export Manager for Fritz Companies Inc from 1998 to 2002 and later for UPS Supply Chain Solutions from 1998 to 2002, where they served as the Ocean Export Manager NY/NJ. In 2002, they briefly worked as a Sales Manager for Shapiro before joining IMS as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. From 2007 onwards, they became involved in leadership roles at The Traffic Club of New York, serving as a Member of the Board of Directors, President, and Chairman during different periods. In 2012, they became the Dive Team Lead for ANSWER Search and Rescue Dive Team, and in 2018, they took on the role of an SDI/NAUI Dive Instructor specializing in NJ Sidemount Specialty for NAUI Worldwide. Overall, James Frostick's work experience reflects a combination of managerial, sales, leadership, and specialized diving roles.

James Frostick attended Le Moyne College from 1993 to 1998, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with a minor in Religious Studies/Philosophy. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications, including SCUBA Instructor, Turn/Stroke/Start Judge, ERDI - Dry Suit Certification, ERDI - Full Face Mask, ERDI - II, and ERDI - I, from SDI TDI ERDI and USA Swimming, between 2013 and 2018.
