Turbomachinery Development Engineer at Impulse Space Propulsion

Austin Gasbarra's work experience includes roles at various companies in the field of engineering. Austin worked at Impulse Space as a Turbomachinery Development Engineer starting in April 2023. Prior to that, they worked at ABL Space Systems as a Propulsion Engineer (Turbomachinery) from March 2021 to March 2023. Austin also gained experience as an Instructional Student Assistant at Cal Poly Mechanical Engineering from January 2019 to December 2020. Austin had internships at Aerojet Rocketdyne, where they worked as an Engineering Design Intern in both Turbomachinery and Engine Integration in 2019 and 2018 respectively. Before their internships, Austin worked at Mob Armor as an Engineer from January 2017 to April 2018, Assistant Engineer from June 2015 to December 2016, and Engineering Assistant from February 2015 to May 2015.

Austin Gasbarra completed their Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering at Cuesta College from 2014 to 2017. Austin then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2017 to 2019. Subsequently, they continued their education at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2019 to 2020. Additionally, in February 2016, Austin obtained certification as a Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate from the SolidWorks Authorized Training Centre.
