James Kidner has a diverse work experience that spans over several decades. James began their career in 1985 as a Diplomat at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, where they served until 2006. During this time, they also worked as a Diplomat at the British Embassy in Sofia, Bulgaria from 1996 to 2000. In 2007, Kidner founded the Coexist Foundation and served as Founder-Director until 2012. In 2013, they joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office again, this time as a Counsellor. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as the Senior Directing Staff at the Royal College of Defence Studies, where they played a key role in running a prestigious post-graduate course. In 2016, Kidner joined Improbable as the Director of Partnerships, and in 2019 they moved to Rebellion Defence, where they held the same position. Currently, Kidner is the Director of Partnerships at Bookomi from 2023.
James Kidner completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Modern History at the University of Oxford from 1980 to 1983.
