Matthew Hall is a semi-retired software engineer with extensive experience in software development and engineering. Matthew co-founded Imperas and served as a senior software engineer and system architect from January 2005 to November 2023, where responsibilities included IT strategy and implementation. Prior positions include principal engineer at Synopsys and Co-Design Automation, where Matthew contributed to the design of the SystemVerilog language. Earlier career highlights include contracting in ASIC design and verification, as well as electronic and firmware design for safety-critical instrumentation at Wylie Systems. Matthew's professional journey began at Cadence Design Systems and Genrad, following a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic Engineering from the University of Southampton.
