Yasumitsu (Yasu) Iwasa is a seasoned finance professional currently serving as the Head of Japan and Managing Director at Impax Asset Management since March 2023. Previously, Iwasa held the position of Representative Director for Japan at Fullerton Fund Management from 2014 to 2021, a member of Temasek Holdings, and served as Senior Vice President at PIMCO from 2012 to 2014. Iwasa's career began at Goldman Sachs, where the role of Vice President was held from 1995 to 2007. Academically, Iwasa earned a Master’s degree from Columbia University in International and Public Affairs and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Essex. Early education was completed at Shattuck-St. Mary's School.
