Albano Lopes has substantial work experience in various procurement roles. Albano started their career at PSA Peugeot Citroën as an IT Manager, where they led the Local Area Networks and implemented network architecture across multiple sites. Albano then worked at EY as a Manager before joining Microsoft, where they held multiple procurement roles including Head of Procurement for CSS and EMEA Procurement Lead for Customer Service and Technical Outsourced Services. At Microsoft, they developed strategic sourcing initiatives, improved supplier governance, and led crisis management during the Arab Spring. Later, they worked at Euroclear as the Chief Procurement Officer ad interim and at ING as the Procurement Group Manager for Information Technology Services. Albano also worked at Deloitte as the IT Outsourcing Program Lead and played a key role in the outsourcing renegotiation for CIN. Most recently, they joined Excelio as a Procurement Consultancy before transitioning to their current position as the Procurement Lead at Impala Terminals.
Albano Lopes completed an MBA degree at Cranfield School of Management in 1997, followed by another MBA degree at emlyon business school in the same year. Prior to that, they obtained an Engineering degree specializing in IT Networks and Computer Systems from ISEP - école d'ingénieurs du numérique between 1990 and 1992.
