Mark Munroe serves as the Group Chief Technical Officer at Implats since January 2018, where responsibilities include leading technical functions and guiding mineral property acquisitions. Prior to this role, Mark held positions such as Chief Executive at Impala Platinum Rustenburg and Chief Operations Officer at Vedanta Resources Limited, as well as a board member of the Mine Health and Safety Council. Mark’s extensive experience includes leadership roles at Lonmin Plc overseeing mining operations and safety for a workforce of over 35,000, as well as executive positions at DRDGOLD Limited and AngloGold Ashanti. Mark holds multiple degrees, including a Bachelor of Technology in Mining from the University of Johannesburg and a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics.
