Merlyn Vargas

Scientist II at Immunologix Laboratories

Merlyn Vargas has extensive work experience in the field of biomedical research and education. They began their career as a Chemistry Teacher at INSTRUIMOS in 2014 before transitioning to a Research Intern role at Northeastern University later that year. In 2012, they worked as a Laboratory Technician and Research Assistant at Universidad de Antioquia. During this time, they gained valuable hands-on experience in a laboratory setting. In 2017, Merlyn worked as a STEM Educator at SciGenius, where they developed and implemented STEM curriculum for students. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Advanced Biomedical Research - George Mason University, performing research tasks and supporting ongoing projects. In 2021, they joined Nilogen Oncosystems as a Research Technician, where they contributed to research efforts in the field of oncology. Currently, Merlyn holds the position of Scientist at Immunologix Laboratories, where they leverage their expertise in the field of biomedical research.

Merlyn Vargas completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from George Mason University. This educational program took place from 2019 to 2020.

Prior to that, Merlyn Vargas achieved a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from Universidad de Antioquia. This degree was obtained by the end of 2016.

Before pursuing the Bachelor's degree, Merlyn Vargas attended Universidad de Antioquia from 2008 to 2010, studying Chemical Engineering for four semesters.

In addition to these academic qualifications, Merlyn Vargas obtained a certification in Verified International Academic Qualifications from World Education Services (WES) in September 2018.
