Cristina Nogueira is a highly experienced scientist currently serving as Technical Lead, Principal Scientist, and Senior Scientist at Oxford Biomedica since January 2017, focusing on the design and development of improved therapeutical viral vectors within the vector engineering team. Prior to this, Cristina Nogueira worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Vivek Malhotra's laboratory at the Center for Genomic Regulation from 2011 to 2016, where research involved studying the molecular mechanisms of extracellular matrix protein secretion. Cristina Nogueira's earlier experience includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Whitehead Institute-MIT (2007-2010), investigating chromosome segregation during cell divisions, and a Graduate Student role at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute-Harvard Medical School (2000-2007), which focused on identifying genetic drivers of melanoma progression. Cristina Nogueira's scientific journey began as an Undergraduate Student at IPATIMUP (1996-1999), examining the clinical consequences of Helicobacter pylori infections.
