Abe Fetterman is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in machine learning and engineering. Currently serving as a Member of Technical Staff at Imbue since April 2021, Abe is involved in developing AI agents that reason and code, focusing on training foundation models optimized for reasoning. Previously, as a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Sourceress from April 2019 to April 2021, Abe contributed to advancing human progress through team building by discovering novel properties of regularization in the BYOL self-supervised learning algorithm, fostering collaboration with a Google team. Abe also held the position of Principal Engineer at Nomiku from March 2012 to April 2019, where innovative sous vide technology was developed to make gourmet cooking accessible to the general public. Earlier career experience includes serving as a Senior Physicist at LightSail Energy. Abe Fetterman holds a PhD in Plasma Physics from Princeton University and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Caltech.
