Tanja Clarke has a strong background in legal knowledge engineering and editorial roles. Tanja currently holds the position of Senior Legal Knowledge Engineer at iManage, where they work with automated document classification and extraction software. In this role, they utilize their expertise in artificial intelligence to organize, discover, and summarize legal and financial documents. Prior to their current position, Tanja served as the Managing Editor for Halsbury's Laws of England at LexisNexis UK. Their responsibilities included managing budgets, setting schedules, and delivering cost savings through efficiency improvements. Tanja also engaged with stakeholders, built relationships, and identified processes suitable for automation. Before that, Tanja held various editorial positions at LexisNexis UK, where they conducted legal research, copy edited complex legal documents, wrote headnotes for cases, and participated in online content migration and enhancement projects. Tanja also renegotiated author contracts, commissioned new authors, and trained and supervised new editors.

Tanja Clarke has a Bachelor of Science degree in Law & Psychology from Staffordshire University. Tanja also holds a Master of Laws degree in International Law from the same university. In addition, they have obtained a certification in "Bystander Training: From Bystander to Upstander" from LinkedIn in December 2020.
