John Bartley started their work experience in 2015 as a Creative and Video Editor at Remark Media, where they worked until 2018. In 2018, they began working as a Freelance Video Editor. In 2019, they joined Reflex Cinema, Superfine Art Fair, and ROTA6 Films as a Video Editor. In 2021, they became a Video Editor at Imaginary Content and an Assistant Editor at Kinetic Studios NYC. Finally, in 2022, they joined KSK Studios as a Video Editor.

John Bartley earned a Bachelor's degree in Film/Cinema/Video Studies from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. John attended the university from 2013 to 2017.
