Baldur Steingrimsson is an experienced academic and industry professional with a strong background in electrical and computer engineering. Currently serving as an instructor at Oregon State University, Baldur has taught courses in mechatronics and advanced signal processing since February 2023. Baldur also holds positions as a faculty advisor at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and as an adjunct faculty instructor at Oregon Institute of Technology. With a notable role as general manager of Imagars LLC since 2012, Baldur has actively led developments in design guidance tools. Previous experience includes positions at Image Sensing Systems, where Baldur managed algorithm development and rapid prototyping projects, and at Samsung SSI, focusing on digital signal processing. Baldur's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Minnesota, complemented by a robust research history in wireless communication systems and error correction coding.
