Matt De Gennaro is a seasoned mining professional with extensive experience in health and safety, mining engineering, and operational management. Currently serving as Health & Safety Superintendent at Iluka Resources since September 2021, Matt has also held various key roles including Mining Engineer and Shift Coordinator, overseeing a team of 10 individuals involved in diverse production and processing operations. Prior to this, Matt worked as an Earthmoving Supervisor at OZ Minerals and gained valuable experience in backfill and ventilation as an Underground Mining Engineer. Educationally, Matt holds a Bachelor of Mining Engineering from the University of Adelaide and a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Mining Engineering from the University of Exeter. Additionally, Matt has engaged in various volunteer and leadership roles, including committee membership with WIMnet SA and the AusIMM, as well as initiatives with RESA to connect students with industry opportunities.
