James Marker is a seasoned mining engineer with extensive experience in geotechnical engineering and mining management. Currently serving as a Senior Mining Engineer and acting Mining Manager at Iluka Resources since May 2019, James is responsible for the Jacinth-Ambrosia tailings program, overseeing the design, construction, and operation of tailings storage facilities. Prior to this, James held the position of Geotechnical Engineer at OZ Minerals, where responsibilities included ground control, pit wall remediation, and slope stability monitoring at the Prominent Hill mine. James's professional journey began at Greenhill Engineers as a Graduate Civil Engineer, after earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering from the University of Adelaide.
