Allan Mancoo is a Lead Research Data Scientist at iLoF - Intelligent Lab on Fiber since July 2022, where responsibilities include developing numerical models for light interaction with bio-samples and building advanced machine learning methods for data analysis in disease fingerprinting. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Scientist in a biotech startup focused on integrating photonics and AI for patient stratification and drug delivery. Allan served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Champalimaud Foundation, focusing on mathematical modeling of decision-making processes in the brain. As a Doctoral Researcher at Ecole normale supérieure, contributions involved dimensionality reduction algorithms for neural data analysis and a conceptual framework for spiking neuron computations. Early career experience includes internships at Mauritius Commercial Bank and State Bank of Mauritius. Allan holds a PhD in Computational Neuroscience, a Master's degree in Cognitive Neuroscience, and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Economics from The London School of Economics.
