Yuzhu Duan is a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Bioinformatics at Illumina since November 2022, where responsibilities include developing test infrastructure and tools for analyzing large genomic datasets both on-premises and in the cloud, as well as collaborating with other engineers and scientists to conduct verification tests. Previously, at the University of California, Riverside from July 2018 to June 2022, Yuzhu led projects involving machine learning for drug discovery, created a public software package for drug discovery, and developed a real-time machine learning service that achieved significant predictive performance. Yuzhu holds a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from the University of California, Riverside, a Nanodegree in Data Analysis from Udacity, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Fudan University.
