Tammer Farid currently serves as Vice President of Portfolio and Product Strategy at Illumina, a position held since September 2021. Prior experience includes a significant tenure at Boston Consulting Group, where Tammer advanced from Consultant to Partner between April 2012 and September 2021. Tammer's academic background features a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics from the University of Pennsylvania (2004-2012), as well as a B.A. in Chemistry with a minor in Philosophy from DePauw University (1998-2002). Earlier career experiences include teaching science at Booker T. Washington Middle School with Teach for America and internships at Eli Lilly and DePauw University focusing on research in biochemistry and geology.
