Becky Franz has extensive work experience in design services and project management. Becky has worked as the Director of Design Services at Illinois State University, where they led a design team and supervised project assignments. Becky also served as the Library Facility Projects Director at Milner Library, overseeing planning and construction activities. Prior to that, they worked at Business Furniture as a Workplace Specialist. Becky has also worked as an Interior Designer at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and Resource One Interior Solutions & Design. In these roles, they were responsible for procuring and installing furniture and acted as a liaison between departments and contracted A&E. Becky started their career as a Designer at Corporate Express and Springfield Design Center.

Becky Franz has a Master's degree in Project Management from Illinois State University, which they obtained from 2015 to 2019. Becky also holds two Graduate Certificates from the same university, one in Training and Development (2016-2017) and another in Project Management (2015-2017). Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from Missouri State University, completing their studies from 1993 to 1997. In addition to their academic qualifications, Becky has obtained certifications including NCIDQ from the Council for Interior Design Qualification and Registered Interior Designer from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
