James C. Wonnacott

James C. Wonnacott has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. James C. is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Illinois Dermatology Institute. Prior to this role, they served as the President of Grand Cru Physician Advisors, where they provided consulting services in healthcare finance, management, mergers, and acquisitions.

From 2006 to 2016, Wonnacott worked as the President and Chief Administrative Officer of The Dermatology Group, PC, a multi-site dermatology company with various operating segments. During their tenure, they successfully recapitalized the business through a private equity transaction, resulting in a record valuation for the specialty practice.

Before that, Wonnacott held executive positions at Kelson Inc, a healthcare management and consulting company, Lewis Gale Clinic Inc., a healthcare services management company, Avia Health Inc., a web-based eCRM company, and Kelson Pediatric Partners, where they were the Regional Vice President responsible for the company's profit centers.

Wonnacott also founded and built Commonwealth Health Management Services, Inc., a healthcare management, consulting, and services company. James C. later sold the business and achieved significant revenue growth.

Earlier in their career, Wonnacott served as Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Berkshire Physicians & Surgeons, P.C., and held various roles at Lutheran Health Systems, including Director of Internal Audit and Regional Auditor.

James C. Wonnacott obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Accounting and Finance from Western Michigan University, which they completed between 1975 and 1979. In addition to their degree, they also earned certifications as a Fellow from the American College of Medical Practice Executives in 1996, a Fellow from the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) in 1993, and as a Certified Public Accountant from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in 1982.
