Emily Francesca Warner is a Principal Scientist at ikarovec since August 2020, previously serving as a Senior Scientist. Warner held the position of Research Associate at the University of Cambridge from August 2018 to July 2020, focusing on inflammasome regulation in myocardial infarction and heart failure. Prior experience includes a Senior Research Associate role at the University of East Anglia from February 2017 to July 2018, working on DNA-targeting molecules to modulate insulin expression, and a PhD Researcher position at the same institution from October 2012 to July 2016, studying the effects of flavonoid metabolites on endothelial function and vascular inflammation. Warner also contributed to scientific outreach as a Session Leader, creating interactive workshops for schoolchildren. Earlier research includes a Nuffield Foundation Summer Research Studentship at the University of Sussex, exploring the phosphorylation of BRCT domains in DNA checkpoint proteins. Warner earned a Ph.D. in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of East Anglia and a BSc in Molecular Medicine from the University of Sussex.
