Afrin Dange is a research assistant at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, since September 2022, specializing in conversational analysis over spatio-temporal datasets under the guidance of Prof. Sunita Sarawagi. Prior experience includes serving as a full stack developer at UPL, where Afrin developed a direct-to-consumer platform with essential e-commerce functionalities from June 2021 to May 2022, and as a frontend developer for the Council of Vibration Specialists, where Afrin contributed to requirements gathering and website development from May 2021 to October 2021. A project intern at Indian Railways in late 2020, Afrin worked with Arduino microcontrollers and designed communication protocols for system alerts. Afrin holds an M.S. by Research in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, expected in 2025, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Fr. Conceicao Rodrigues Institute of Technology, completed in 2022.
