Mar Mendibe Bilbao is a distinguished neurologist and researcher, currently serving as the Vicepresidenta científica of the Sociedad Española de Neurología since January 2024. Since 2009, Mar has been the Directora Cientifica at Biocruces Bizkaia Instituto Investigación Sanitaria and leads the Grupo de Neuroinmunologia Biocruces. Mar has held a position as Neuróloga and Medico Adjunto de Neurologia at Osakidetza since January 2000. Additionally, Mar is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea since September 2012. Mar holds a Doctorate in Medicine and Surgery and has pursued multiple degrees in health service management and innovation from institutions including Esade, Georgetown University, and the University of Deusto.
