Taylor Sorensen is an optical design engineer with extensive experience in the aerospace and defense industry, having held various positions at II-VI Aerospace & Defense, Northrop Grumman, and Edmund Optics. They have a Master of Science degree in Optical Sciences from the University of Arizona, where they also completed their Bachelor of Science in Optical Sciences and Engineering. Taylor has worked on advanced infrared search and track systems for airborne platforms, as well as space-bound telescope applications. In their role, they have supported optical design and analysis, conducted performance evaluations, and prepared lens element drawings. Additionally, they have evaluated suppliers for materials and coatings to support multiple products and programs.
