Kristen Stafford is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Human Virology and has extensive experience in public health and epidemiology, particularly in relation to HIV and aging non-communicable diseases in sub-Saharan Africa. Currently serving as Deputy Director of the Center for International Health, Education, and Biosecurity at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Kristen provides strategic leadership for global health initiatives. Previous roles include significant positions at the University of Maryland School of Medicine where Kristen conducted research, managed health programs, and coordinated international HIV/AIDS treatment initiatives. Kristen's education includes a Ph.D. in Epidemiology and an MPH in Health Policy and Management, complemented by a BA in Psychology.
