Matthew DeLong is an experienced professional in the field of piping engineering, currently serving as the Piping Engineering Technical Manager at IHI Energy Solutions since July 2022. Prior to this role, Matthew held the same title at IHI E&C International Corporation from January 2014 to June 2022, and also served as a Sr. Principal Engineer. Matthew's career began at Union Carbide Corporation as a Senior Staff Maintenance Engineer, followed by a position as Piping Materials Engineering Manager at Dow Chemical until 2013. Earlier experiences include working as a Cooperative Education Student at Houston Lighting & Power. Matthew holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University, which was earned between 1983 and 1989, after graduating from Bay City High School.
