Kristyn A Spangler

Associate Division Director - Behavioral Health at IHA

Kristyn A Spangler, LMSW has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over multiple roles and organizations. Kristyn A began their career in 1991 as an Advocate at Bethany House Services. From 1993 to 1998, they worked as a Children's Services Worker at Hamilton County Job and Family Services. In 2000, they joined WJ Maxey Boys Training School as a Clinical Social Worker, later becoming a Program Manager from 2004 to 2005. Kristyn A then worked as a Therapist at Special Therapy for Adults and Youth from 2002 to 2006.

In 2006, Kristyn started working at Saint Joseph Mercy Health System as a Behavioral Services Specialist, where they provided psychiatric social work services in the Emergency Department, including mental health evaluations and trauma support. Kristyn A made the transition to IHA in 2015 and held various leadership roles in the behavioral health division. As a Behavioral Health Program Manager, they successfully implemented collaborative behavioral health care at Primary Care Physician offices, expanding the service to 25 offices and serving over 1,000 patients annually. Later, as the Associate Director of Behavioral Health, Kristyn focused on operational management and team leadership. Their most recent role at IHA is as the Associate Division Director - Behavioral Health, where they provide clinical and organizational leadership for multiple service groups and locations, including strategic planning and practice transition.

Kristyn A Spangler, LMSW completed their Bachelor of Philosophy degree in Interdisciplinary Studies at Miami University from 1987 to 1991. Kristyn A also holds a certification as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) from the State of Michigan.
