Tommaso Marchetti is a Machine Learning Scientist at ignitia since January 2024, specializing in high-velocity stars, the Galactic bulge, data mining of large astronomical catalogues, and machine learning. Previously, Tommaso worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the European Southern Observatory from December 2019 to November 2022, focusing on user support for X-Shooter, automatic finding chart creation, and queue monitoring at Paranal. Tommaso earned a PhD in Astronomy from Leiden University between October 2015 and October 2019 and holds a Master's degree in Astronomy and Astrophysics, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Astrophysics, both from Sapienza Università di Roma. Early academic experience includes serving as a Library Assistant at Sapienza University of Rome from January 2012 to January 2013.
