Micah Smith has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several years. Micah is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Ignite Tournaments since 2022. Before this, they worked at OKK as the CEO, where they assisted new startups in their growth by performing tasks such as drop-in CTO, CPO, and executive coaching. Micah has experience working with clients in SaaS, DTC, and web3 industries.

From 2020 to 2021, Micah held multiple roles at Capital, including Vice President of New Products, Chief Product Officer, and Principal Engineer. In their role as Chief Product Officer, they resolved strategic, operational, and process issues, oversaw hiring efforts, and managed product development. Micah also analyzed the customer journey and developed a product roadmap.

Prior to Capital, Micah co-founded Gooten in 2012 and worked as the CTO and Cofounder. Over the course of seven years, they played a vital role in building the company from the ground up, reaching a significant milestone of 10 million ARR and achieving full profitability. Micah also served as the Vice President of Product at Gooten from 2015 to 2018.

Before Gooten, Micah worked as a Technical Director at BarkleyREI from 2009 to 2012, where they managed a team of 12 and led the development of various mobile, front-end, and back-end projects. Micah also contributed to the company's revenue growth through the creation of a resellable custom form application.

In their earlier career, Micah worked as a Software Engineer at PNC from 2008 to 2010, contributing to .NET and Java web application development. Micah was also involved in the full project lifecycle and participated in the application needs assessment process.

Additionally, they gained experience as a Software Engineer at NASA, working on a storm/weather early warning detection and alert system in 2006-2007. Micah also served as a Researcher at NASA in 2005-2006, where they received a research grant and wrote a paper on neural net generation and training using genetic algorithms.

Micah Smith received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a focus on Electronic Commerce from Wheeling University. Micah attended the university from 2003 to 2007. In addition, they obtained a certification in Neural Networks and Deep Learning from Coursera in October 2018.
